Owens
Corning Batts and Rolled Fiberglass
As the original inventor of fiberglass insulation, Owens
Corning has long been a defined leader in the insulation field.
We carry Owens Corning fiberglass batts for several applications.
Common uses of fiberglass batts include insulating ceilings
where blow cannot reach and insulating exterior walls.
When insulating exterior walls, batts
are installed between studs and are cut to form-fit any obstacles.
Any and all crevices are stuffed to insure that there is no
breach in the insulated walls. Moisture barriers such as visquine
are commonly applied over the batts to prevent moisture damage.
Batts with R-values upwards of R-30
are typically used in ceilings to insure against heat diffusion.
Cathedral ceilings frequently require batts because there
is no room to blow insulation.
